Florida High Football

Dear Student Athlete and Family, May 27, 2008
As summer approaches we are entering our 2nd phase for the 2008 football season. This past season was a banner year for the Florida High program, and we are looking to expand and carry on the tradition that we have established. There are several things that must be done to prepare for this next season so that it will be even more successful than the ones in the past. The first is our offseason workout regiment. As the program has grown so has our level of commitment in the offseason, especially in the weight room. Each athlete will be given a summer packet that has outlined our map to success! Through strict dedication to the summer weight room plan, summer passing leagues, and the Down and Dirty Lineman Camp our goals can be reached. Equally important to the success and growth of our Football program is the Fundraising plan to reach our goal of making the Football Field House a reality. Also in the packet will be a steroid form, a parent permission form, and a physical form. All of these forms must be signed and filled out completely (to include the Insurance number) before an athlete will be able to participate in the fall. If, for any reason, you need another form they are all on floridahighfootball.com. Each Student Athlete will be required to get in a minimum of 28 summer work outs, with the opportunity of 45 work outs being provided, (including passing leagues, down and dirty camp) before you are allowed to participate in a game. This is to insure you are in condition and it is safe for you to play. We hope that you try to get more than the required 28 and will be here as much as possible. Your presence offers you the opportunity to become a leader. We especially emphasize the workout time in the month of July. This is most critical in the building of camaraderie for a season that is rapidly approaching.
