Coach Casey Griffith - Defensive Ends |
|
Coach Griffith, from Vero Beach, FL, was a three year starter at long snapper at the University of Florida but was on the squad from 1999-2004. He began his career as a walk on but earned a scholarship after 2002 preseason practices. He was awarded an additional year of eligibility by the NCAA in February of 2004 due to injuries in first three years. Career: Saw action in 36 games for 397 plays. Named a game captain 13 times in career, played in two Outback bowls and the Peach Bowl. NIFC All American. 2004: Received the “True Gator Award” at the conclusion of the 2004 season. Led UF in special teams’ plays with 122 and shared the team high with 54 plays on the punt return team. Broke the 100-play barrier in the last regular-season game against Florida State, three 6 special teams’ tackles. 2003: Saw action in 137 plays. Had four special teams tackles. Missed 2003-spring practice with shoulder injury. 2002: The starting long snapper. Saw action in all 13 games for 138 plays and 4 special teams tackles. Named UF’s “Most Outstanding Special Teams Player” at the conclusion of the season. Prep: Played varsity football for 3 years, varsity wrestling for two years, and varsity track for four years. An all-conference selection in track. Threw shot put and discus for the track and field team. Eagle Scout. High school coach was Wayne Griffith. College: Member of Kappa Alpha Order. Graduated in May 2004 with a BA in Political Science. Graduated in 2006 with a Masters in Education, specializing in Social Science. Is currently in his second year of coaching and teaching. He teaches American History, World History, and Weightlifting at Florida High. |

Coach TJ Dawkins - JV Assistant |
|
Coach Dawkins is a 2002 Florida High graduate. During his time here at Florida High, Coach Dawkins was a member of the varsity football team for 3 years. He also was a member of the weightlifting team for 3 years as well as participated in track and field his senior year. Coach Dawkins recently received his general AA Degree from Tallahassee Community College. He will begin his Physical Education Degree at Florida State University this spring. This is Coach Dawkins’ first year coaching at Florida High and he is working with the JV Offense. |

Coach Kevin Helms - Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers |
|
Coach Helms is in his sixth year of coaching, fifth year at Florida High. Kevin grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and graduated from Chiles High School in 2002 where he played defensive back and quarterback under “Young” and “Old” Coach Hickman. He also was a member of the weightlifting team where he advanced to and competed at the state level 2 times. Coach Helms has a Bachelors Degree in Math Education from Florida State University. Kevin is very excited about this season and the new responsibilities he has as the Defensive Coordinator. |

Coach Eli Biddy - Offensive Line, JV Head Coach |
|
Coach Biddy is in his fourth year of coaching at Florida High, but enters his second year as the Head JV coach. Eli is a proud graduate of the class 2004 at Florida High, and is currently in college pursuing a bachelors degree in social science. Coach Biddy is excited about another great year of Seminole football and the veteran laden offensive line for 2008. |

Coach Kyle Bradburn– Tight Ends, JV Assistant |
|
Coach Bradburn Graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 2004. Attended Emory & Henry College in 2004 and played cornerback and returned punts for the Wasps. Attended Shorter College in 2005 and played cornerback for the Hawks. Kyle coached the Defensive Backs at Bishop Kenny in 2006. He is coaching Tight Ends in his first year at Florida High. |

Coach Larry Roberts - Defensive Line, JV Defensive Coordinator |

Coach Roberts is entering his second year of coaching with Florida High. Coach Roberts was born and raised here in Tallahassee were he attended school at North Florida Christian High school and was a part of several state championship teams. Coach Roberts is currently attending Tallahassee Community College seeking a degree in Education and minoring in Exercise Science. |

Coach Bart Ash - Defensive Backs |
|
Coach Ash returns to Florida High after more than 10 years. He played for “old” coach Hickman as a quarterback at Rickards High School, and had the pleasure of coaching young coach Hickman. He last coached at Florida High in the early 90’s, under “old” Coach Hickman. During that time he acted as a Varsity Quarterback coach and head JV coach, and then to Varsity Defensive Backs. Coach Ash and his wife Shannon have been married for 14 years and have two awesome children. Their son Cason is in 9th grade at Florida High playing JV football, and daughter Austen Kate is in 6th grade and plays soccer and basketball. |

Coach Dane Holihan - Wide Receivers |
|
.Coach Holihan is entering his fifth year of coaching high school football, but his first coaching at Florida High. He spent the last 4 years coaching at Chiles High School. He was born and raised here in Tallahassee where he went to Chiles High and played under Coach Hickman for 3 years. He was named preseason all big bend entering his senior year. He He went on to play college football for a year before transferring back up to Florida State, he has a degree in Business Administration. He plans on attending graduate school in the spring to get a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. |
